Can Probiotics and Collagen Be Exposed to 100°F Weather?Updated 14 days ago
Short-term exposure to warm temperatures, such as a package sitting outside in hot weather for part of the day, is generally not an issue for our probiotics or collagen products. These formulas are designed with stability in mind, and brief periods in higher temperatures during transit or delivery typically do not affect their overall integrity.
Soil-based probiotics may naturally more resilient than many traditional probiotic strains, which contributes to their ability to handle normal variations in temperature during shipping. Collagen peptides are also known to be heat stable, and typical summer temperatures do not affect the amino acids present in the formula.
That said, like all dietary supplements, it’s best to bring your package indoors as soon as you can and store your products in a cool, dry place once they arrive. Extended exposure to extreme heat over long periods is not recommended for any supplement.
