Has the Marine Collagen Peptides product been tested for BMAA (β-N-methylamino-L-alanine)?Updated 14 days ago
Our Codeage Wild-Caught Marine Collagen Peptides are made from the skins of wild-caught snapper and cod. These species are not known to be associated with BMAA. Because BMAA is a water-soluble amino acid, it would also be removed during the extensive washing steps used in collagen preparation.
BMAA concerns typically relate to shark or certain marine algae sources, which are not used in our collagen production. For these reasons, routine BMAA testing is not considered necessary for this type of raw material.
