How is your collagen processed?Updated 14 days ago

Our collagen is produced through a multi-step process designed to extract and prepare the material without the use of high heat. For our Marine Collagen, the process begins with wild-caught fish scales.

The scales are thoroughly cleaned and soaked in heated water, followed by an alkaline soaking step that helps separate the collagen from the raw material. These steps are carried out at temperatures below approximately 190°F.

After extraction, the collagen is further broken down using an enzymatic process to create collagen peptides. The final stages include evaporation and milling, which produce the finished collagen powder.

This method maintains the integrity of the collagen while creating a clean, neutral-tasting final product. Again, we now offer many different products, so the above might not apply to your specific formula, as each product and ingredient within these products can vary significantly.
