Here is the process by which our collagen is made:
The cowhides are first cleaned and soaked to remove any excess fat.
They are then soaked again in hot water up (below 200 F°) so as to release collagen from the hide. This ensures that the nutrients are preserved.
Then comes a series of evaporation, hydrolysis and milling techniques, which gives the hydrolyzed collagen protein powder.
